When the shirt becaue available, I just sighed. I don't know why, but it just didn't appeal to me. Maybe the large, bright, orange circle that distracted from the "Winner!" or maybe because "National Novel Writing Month" was written so small, like an afterthought and possibly because my favorite term "NaNoWriMo" was nowhere to be seen. I didn't like it. At all. I felt let down and deflated. I did not buy the ugly shirt.
That brings us to this year. I logged onto the NaNoWriMo website (it's right here, if you wanna join my craziness this year! http://www.nanowrimo.org) in August to see what they had going on. I was rewarded with this:
They have definitely redeemed themselves! I love how this shirt, in one simple design, explains what NaNo is, and I especially love that little dark spot in the middle (that's me! That's where I fit in!). This design is all over their web badges and merchandise this year, and I LOVE it.
I've got two friends doing NaNo with me this year, and I can't wait. There's still time if you want to join us. I didn't find out about NaNo until Nov. 3rd of 2008 ... you can do it!
