Thanks to C’s brother for off-loading their old basketball hoop on us. (Our nephew is 13, so this is a little bit small for him anymore)! J loves it, and he’s actually fairly good at putting the ball through the hoop.
And this is what you get when you let your eight year old take the camera …
No concept of privacy. At least it’s close up, right?
Smile, Mom!
And my kitchen fail (This is for you, Rebecca! Now you have proof for Dave). Grilled chicken is better for you, anyway - I’ll stick with that in the future. Obviously frying chicken is not one of my talents.
And we went to the zoo:
I don’t know how I got such solemn faces on both of them, they really were having fun.
For the first time, S rode the carousel by herself. It was a good thing, as it took me half of our first ride just to get J on his animal.
We also got to go to a birthday party, while we were in town.
This is where S rolled off the bottom of the slide in a pile of older boys and scraped her poor nose on the concrete.
She got her it pretty good, and it scabbed up over the next day or two.
We got to go to the new aquarium, too!
I love the jellyfish!
(Look, Alex, I even got the pictures to turn out!)
And my sister introduced us to a new indoor park:
And then we came home to more snow … just a light dusting, but enough to make me worry for my apricot blossoms. I guess we’ll see how that turns out this year.
